VISION
Our vision is to see every woman and girl embrace the reality of God's love recognizing that as daughters of the King of all Kings, they are royal princesses with complete access to the Heavenly Father.

God's gurls are royal. Yes, she is a heiress and princess. God's gurl is unique. She is peculiar and one of a kind. God's gurl is virtuous. She has a value that no one but God himself can afford. God's gurls belong to the King of Kings and this page is created to inspire, encourage, and admonish those that know who they are to continue walking in that knowledge and pass that sense of being along to a ladies, young and mature, so they would recognize their worth.
God sees all his daughters as royalty. Unfortunately, we do not embrace our true identity as God’s gurl, especially if we do not know it.... Too many young ladies choose to believe what the “world” tells them. I see such a need to address low self-esteem with the truth of God’s principles. My goal is for our young ladies to embrace the reality of God’s love and their relationship to Him, as the King’s daughter; being encouraged to share who they are. REACH
Through outreach, we extend ministry to women specifically but men are welcome to bring the girls/women in their lives. Our main approach will be through our citywide rallies called The Rallypoint. These events are where women of various backgrounds and generations will come together to be empowered and educated through workshops, speakers and worship. We connect with local organizations to offer mentoring and training for lifeskills training. We connect and inform through our website (www.godsgurl.org), our Facebook page (God’s Gurl), and www.twitter.com/godsgurlinc.
TEACH
Our teachings focus on identity, value, and purpose but we teach on overall character. We have developed unique and universal curriculum that address the four pillars that make up the whole woman (woman includes girls and teens): Matters of the Mind, Heart, Soul, and Body. The Princess Program is geared toward youth (Little Ladies ages 6-12) and teens (Young Ladies ages 13-19) and are packed with hands-on activities and interactive discussion.
BUILD
Our goal is not only to instruct and counsel our target populations but also to build relationships and collaborate with organizations in neighborhoods that we operate in to connect and develop youth and women’s ministries in every community. God’s Gurl strives become a clearinghouse for strategic partnerships with local and national organizations that have similar missions and visions. We will also serve in various capacities in the community by serving as mentors to girls and women.

OUR HISTORY
In 2007, our Founder and CEO, Charice L. Thomas, received empowerment and encouragement for her personal spiritual journey from God through the words of Psalm 45:13 – “The King’s Daughter is all glorious within and her clothes are wrought with gold (AMP).” She narrowed this verse into two key words: God’s Gurl. Charice commissioned a friend to create a logo and placed it onto t-shirts to sell so that women and girls of all walks of life could come to see themselves as daughters of the King. She thought that was all God was calling her to do. However in 2011, God spoke again through several key women in her life about expanding God’s Gurl from a t-shirt line into a full-fledged ministry that could reach not only women and girls locally but also nationwide. She followed the Lord's leading and held her first official board meeting in October 2011.
In February 2012, the passionate group became a nationally recognized 501c3 non-profit organization. They immediately connected with Girls Hope and began a mentoring relationship in June 2012. The young ladies from Girls Hope were instrumental in the success of God's Gurl's first major event; The RallyPoint: An Inspirational Expo for Women and Girls (visit the photo gallery). This event took place at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture in Downtown Pittsburgh. God's Gurl continued to find organizations to partner that fall. In September 2012, they had the privilege to serve a down-home dinner to the students and staff at The Neighborhood Academy in Pittsburgh, Pa. They were also able to launch a pilot of their unique, interactive yet universal curriculum at Propel Northside School as a part of an Afterschool Session.
In November 2013, shortly after marrying Jermaine Manor, Charice relocated to the state of Illinois. God's Gurl headquarters remains in Pittsburgh with development of expansion to operate a chapter in Southwest Illinois.
Currently, God's Gurl continues to visit Girls Hope every quarter and, March 2014, we launched a 12-week Little Ladies/Young Ladies Mentoring Program at the Father Ryan Center in McKees Rocks, Pa. God's Gurl is working alongside Girl Scouts to create a Gurl badge under the topic of Financial Literacy.
